I achieved first class honours in my Zoology degree at St. Andrews. I received the highest grade in the school of Biology for my year, and was awarded the Royal Society of Biology top student award and the D'Arcy Thompson Medal in Natural History.

Summer 2015 & 2016: Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh
Visitor Services Guide
Dynamic Earth is a five-star science centre located in Edinburgh, Scotland. While working there over two summers I honed my science communication experience, and produced a geology help-sheet which is still in the staff training handbook today.

Nuffield Research Placement
While in high school I undertook a six-week research placement to investigate the factors underlying the distribution of pan-tropical plant biomass, supervised by Dr. Ed Mitchard and Prof. Iain Woodhouse. I presented my results at a Nuffield celebration event in the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh.

2012: The Roslin Institute
I have always had an interest in science. In early high school I undertook a one-week work experience placement at the Roslin Institute, where I got to experience science 'behind the scenes' for the first time.

2019-present: British Ecological Society. Member
2018-present: Royal Society of Biology. Associate Member
I was awarded Associate Membership of the Royal Society of Biology for my performance during my Zoology degree at the University of St. Andrews.
